Why was this plan needed?

The social environment in India has been somewhat complex and sensitive for women. Religious, educational, social conditions have been full of discrimination for women since ancient times. Due to the evils going on in the society like feticide, child marriage, dowry harassment, domestic violence, negative thinking of the society towards the girl child, girls are deprived of their basic and fundamental rights.

The biggest reason for not getting equal rights and respect for women as men in the society is that girls are deprived of education. Although in the present time, a big change has been seen in this condition of women, the biggest reason behind this is the awareness of women towards education. There are still many such classes and areas where the old ideology towards women still flows in the society.

Many types of schemes are being run at government, non-government, national and state level to remove these social perceptions, Kanya Sumangala Yojana is also eligible for the same. Girls will be provided the opportunity of higher education by the government, which will stop the spread of evils like feticide, dowry harassment, child marriage in the society, as well as girls will also be able to make a new place for themselves in the society.
